Every man is a fool in some man's opinion

Untitled

I am a mommy, wife, daughter, sister and friend that lives each day with such gratefulness that disturbs some people. I love the life that God has granted me and wouldn't change a thing. I believe in paying it forward and helping my neighbor. Instead of counting all that you have done for other people, count your blessings........

To be offened?

About a week ago I was watching the local news here in Oregon and within 10 minutes they did three different stories and the common theme? Being offended. One group was upset and offended by one person’s word, another person was offended by anothers word and as the same with the third story. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. When did we as a nation become so soft that using our first Amendment Rights were wrong? We make up laws that state we can’t say anything racial because it’s racial. We can’t speak of some one’s sexual orientation. Talking about politics and religion is also wrong and if someone is blunt with you, your rude. At some point we are going to wake up and not be able to say a darn word in fear of going to jail or be sued.

It’s amazing how we can’t talk about so much but it’s okay to swear in public. To damn the Lord and look down on a person for speaking their mind. We are a nation of people that are always so offended. When did we get such a thin skin? How are we so righteous? No wonder so many countries laugh at us. Us as a super power? Seriously? I love my country. I am disappointed with the people in this nation. This country was built on blood shed. And if it wasn’t for that, the British would own us. We would be bowing to the Queen. But instead we are a nation of ignorance. Everyone has an opinion. So little education. And yet, everyone is offended at least once a day.

Simple

I love my life….I believe everyone should love their own life. I think that too many people take their life for granted. Unless one is placed in a scenario that causes them to look at their life, they complain about it. They look at how much money one doesn’t have, the things they wish they did have and the never ending complaining about everything that makes one look down at ones self and complain.

What happened to being grateful?

My husband apologized to me on the way home from church last night for not making “enough” money. I looked at him and asked “defy “enough” money” We have all our bills paid, a roof over our heads, money in the bank and in our wallets. We have a nice car. We have things and buying more things doesn’t make a situation better. A lot of the times it makes it worse. People create dept on “things”. I know my husband and I did. They we stop buying “things” bought only what we needed and paid our dept off. We didn’t place blame on other’s for our dept situation. We took responsibility. Something that people in general have lost touch with. Let’s just place blame on other’s to make our own self look better. Wonderful. Under that cloud of blame most people see though, and yes, we do. You loose integrity, stability, self worth. Who are you if you don’t have the truth?

People lie to themselves and others everyday. Maybe that should be a new years resolution? Stop lying to other’s and yourself.

Living a life that you can be proud of is something that everyone should be trying to achieve. I know I am proud of my life. I am married to my best friend. He is my soul mate, if there is such a thing? He is the love of my life. After all these years we are still giddy about each other as we were in the beginning. We have two fantastic children together. I am so blessed!! I get to be a mommy. The greatest job in the world. I look at my children and I am just amazed at what beautiful people they are. Our daughter is 5 and our son is 9. I love that I get to watch them grow up. I get to teach them and love them and enjoy them. I feel bad for the people out there that are unable to conceive. But our Lord has other plans for them as we have so many orphans out there that needs mommy’s and daddy’s. Derrick and I have talked about adoption and I hope that the Lord blesses us in that way. I have always wanted to adopt.

I hope anyone that read my tiny blog know they you are blessed. That they feel the love of our Lord and that you can look to the heavens and know that YOU ARE LOVED!!
